CRITI Program & Services

Chattanooga Room in the Inn (CRITI) is a program for homeless women and children individualized to the participant’s circumstances and progress. Services provided at CRITI are free of charge and include transitional housing, one meal a day provided by volunteers, access to affordable or free health care, life skills training, educational assistance, parenting classes, mentoring, assistance with finding affordable housing, and case management services. This program allows the women and their children to find stability, thereby increasing their opportunities and chances for independence when they leave the program.

SHELTER & BASIC NEEDS

Women with children are the fastest growing homeless group in our area. Chattanooga Room in the Inn provides shelter, daily meals, living supplies, and transportation assistance at no charge to help participants get back on their feet.

LIFE SKILLS & COACHING

CRITI provides individualized self-sufficiency plans for employment, permanent housing, life skills development, educational assistance, and physical and emotional health to help participants transform their lives.

CHILD CARE & MENTORING

Children who reside at CRITI receive case management services, tutoring, and therapeutic activities to prevent them from getting behind in school, developing emotional problems, and potentially becoming homeless as an adult.
