Each participant in the Shelter to Stability program completes a housing assessment at the time of admission so that barriers to permanent housing can be identified. A housing assessment also helps staff know what type of housing services are best suited for the participant.
Our Rapid Rehousing Case Manager handles the process of helping each woman look for housing, searching online and calling landlords. She also works closely with community partners like Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise to help find housing that suits the needs of each family we serve. If children are already settled into their school, the Rapid Rehousing Case Manager would assist with finding housing that would allow the children to remain at that school and prevent one more loss in their life.
